This is a document that we were given by Mr. Johnson for each act of the play we are reading : Romeo and Juliet by the famous William Shakespeare. we had to write down different things like our predictions, important quotations, test to text, text to self and text to world connections etc. we had to have each box full then to participate in a student lead discussion for each act. as Mr. Johnson liked to say our active reading was “our ticket into the show”.

I have improved on listening  and talking less during the discussions because at first i spoke quite a bit during the discussions almost too much so i improved on listening and letting other people have a chance at talking.

I noticed that I was a bit of a dominator when participating in the group discussions. I think that i also realised that i needed to listen to others more and talking less.

I would like to continue improving on listening and not talking so much in the group discussions.

I think that Shakespeare is trying to tell us that we should think about decisions before we make them because in the play the characters make rushed decisions because if you don’t think about decisions you make before you make them you may regret them later.
